I don't have the #s to back them up personally, but I want to categorically disagree with your statement there. A lot of talented people are shown the door because of reasons outside of performance. They could cost too much and management wants a new janitor instead. They could cost too much and the GM wants an extra Christmas bonus instead. They could've screwed up off the air somehow like in their personal life. Etc...
