WOKY-AM (920) announced that it is switching to an all sports talk format, effective Monday.

The Clear Channel station currently plays classic country music. Calling itself The Big 920, the new format is simulcasting the Clear Channel station WTSO-AM in Madison.

The station will feature: Mike Lucas and Matt Lepay, voices of University of Wisconsin football and basketball, from 6 to 8 a.m.; the syndicated shows of Dan Patrick, at 8 a.m. and actor-comedian Jay Mohr, at 11 a.m.; the voice of UW hockey Brian Posick at 2 p.m.; Mike Heller at 3 p.m.; ESPN and NBC Sports host Eric Kuselias at 6 p.m; and retired New York Giant Amani Toomer and Mad Dog Radio anchor Eytan Shander at 9 p.m.

The station also will air Monday, Sunday and Thursday night NFL football, the Super Bowl, the NCAA tournament and NASCAR.

The switch will give the Milwaukee market three sports-talk stations, and presumably answer the question: How much sports talk is too much sports talk?
