I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with Jeremy here. Such a waste of a transmitter?

First off, yes, WTSO can be picked up in Milwaukee, but it's not a strong signal and it's daytime only (directional pattern at night is to the north of Madison). I doubt anyone besides a few radio geeks is listening to WTSO in Milwaukee.

Second, even if it is just a simulcast of what's on WTSO, the lineup that WOKY will have is already better than what's on WSSP. The guys on WTSO are already talking Wisconsin sports, and it's cheap to simulcast them in Milwaukee. Makes sense to me! And if you want to talk about a waste of a transmitter, give their lineup a gander. Yeesh. Unbelievable that they did not pick up Dan Patrick.

Third, it's not like WOKY is burning it up in the ratings. 0.7 6+? Behind WSSP? And with an older-than-dirt audience? I'm amazed the format has lasted as long as it has.

You write that it "was only a matter of time" before WOKY switched formats, but don't think they should have switched to sports. So my question is, if not sports, what?

And no, I do not work at Cheap Channel.
