It is a different feeling being on the dollars and cents size of the radio business, key word: business. WMCS did not bring in and grow the audience so the dollars and cents suffered. There may not be stock holders like some other radio companies but there are always people no matter the ownership that demand results which show up in their earnings. Sales could not sell the station though they tried hard, and the correct business move was to do something new. I would have liked something other than a-nother sports station, though I admit I do not like sports. I do admit sports listeners may not be as loyal as urban talk listeners but there is major sponsorship money and big spikes in various sports seasons to spike the earnings that are desired.
