You answered your own question in a way. They took the last 2 minutes of Masterchef Junior so they could carry over those viewers into Fox 6 News at 9. WMLW/CBS58's mini-newscast isn't taking chunks away from WITI but it's chipping away. Fox 6 had a committed set of eyes at the end of Masterchef Junior and those eyes remain for the most part when a viewer sees BREAKING NEWS. I was watching and so you know, toward the end of the 9pm news Ann State said Fox 6 management understands it wasn't the smartest idea to break into programming in the way it did, and that the end of Masterchef Junior will be played at the end of Fox 6 News at 9, and it was.
